SO WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH RUBY TIGERS?

Ruby Tigers are a true band. Driven to create music with an immense Passion, Depth and Spirit. For them there is no other alternative. This is their life’s work.

Spending the greater part of 2007 holed up in Powderfinger’s Airlock Studio’s Brisbane, the band perfected their craft. Eventually emerging with demos that they soon posted on their Myspace site for themselves and more importantly their growing fan base.

In another example of the Internet empowering independent artists legendary producer/mix engineer Mark Needham who has mixed multi-platinum albums for The Killers, Chris Isaak and My Chemical Romance heard these original Myspace demos and immediately agreed to mix their debut album.

Working with American producer/songwriter Marc Swersky and emerging Australian engineer Anthony Lycenko (Pete Murray) the band retreated to Studio’s 301 Byron Bay for a month, immersing themselves in their art.

Through drunken bonding sessions and the general chaos that is Byron Bay in the Summer, Ruby Tigers created a world class album showcasing the band’s immense talent and the amazing songwriting depth of Lead Singer Darren Schadel.

Mastered in New York by Leon Zervos (Maroon 5, Avril Lavigne) the band’s debut single “The Deal” has just been released to Australian radio with influential music industry trade magazine The Music Network choosing the song as a Hit Pick and commenting
