From 1972 to present The Doobie Brothers have recorded 14 albums and sold over 40 million albums worldwide and won 4 Grammy Awards. The Doobie Brothers have impacted the world with 25+ charted hits including, "Listen To The Music," "China Grove," "Minute By Minute" "Long Train Runnin," "Black Water" and "Takin' It To The Streets."
Tom Johnston and Pat Simmons, the founding members of The Doobie Brothers, recorded their forthcoming album, Still Smokin', with their longtime veteran producer, Ted Templeman (Eric Clapton, Little Feat, Van Morrison). With no pressures and only themselves to please the band made an album that is as vital and relevant today as their past successes. The Deluxe Album includes 14 songs that evoke the classic Doobie Brothers sound evident in the first single "Nobody," and the rocker "Chatteau." Tom Johnston's lyrics, on "World Gone Crazy," provides a wry commentary on the current state of these United States and will no doubt become a new classic. "Old Man's Game" and "Brighter Day" state the optimism of a band that has gone through many difficult changes over the past 40 years and has come out the other end a little older and wiser from the struggle.
